The uninhabited island of Dia, located 6.5 miles from the capital of the island of Crete, Heraklion, welcomes guests in cozy bays, with crystal clear water.
Swimming with a mask you can watch the seabed and the rich underwater world, where the submerged antique port of this island is located. The bottom is covered with a huge amount of broken ceramics. You can see fragments of vessels from different eras (from classical antiquity to the late Middle Ages). Often there are significant parts of jars or amphorae, which give the opportunity to present the original form of the vessel as a whole.

And if you are going to explore the island itself, it is better to take comfortable shoes for this, Because the landscape is rather stony.
