• Vehicles will be insured with the type of insurance specified in the rental contract and in the insurance conditions described therein.

TYPES OF CAR RENTAL INSURANCE: CDW, FDW, PIA, WUG, FI

• Personal insurance.
• The insurance is valid for a third party in a collision with another car.
• Glasses Insurance.
• Mirrors Insurance.
• Tires Insurance (only on asphalt pavement).
• Body and chassis insurance (only on asphalt pavement).
• Insurance against theft.
• Fire insurance.
• Zero deductible.
• No blocking of your card.
• No cash collateral.
• The second driver enters into the insurance without additional payment.
• Baby seat or Child seat.
• 24 hour roadside assistance throughout the island.

INSURANCE DOES NOT VALID – THE CLIENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO THE CAR IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:

• If you do not call the emergency number +306972021327  immediately after the emergency.
• With alcoholic and drug intoxication.
• In case of violation of the STOP sign.
• When crossing a double solid line.
• When driving off-road, dirt roads.
• When creating an emergency when traffic rules are not followed.
• In case of improper driving of the rented car.
• Failure to comply with the rules of the car rental agreement.
• In case of damage to the car interior.

GEOGRAPHICAL RESTRICTIONS

• The vehicle can be delivered to any port, airport or major city of Crete. Transportation outside Crete, to other islands or the mainland is not permitted.

DRIVING LICENSE

• When renting a car, EU citizens must have a valid driver’s license, with the right to drive at least one year before the rental date. For citizens of countries outside the European Union, an INTERNATIONAL driver’s license is required.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

• The minimum age is 21 years for vehicles in categories A, B, C and 23 years for all other categories.
• Especially for luxury and convertibles, the minimum age for hiring is 25 years.

TYPE OF VEHICLE

• Reservations are made for a specific vehicle category and not for a specific model.

FUEL POLICY

• The cost of fuel is paid by the client. Your car will be delivered with a certain amount of fuel and when you return the car, the tank must be filled with the same amount.

PREPAYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• An advance payment of 20% of the rental price is required. We accept the following prepayment methods: VISA, Master Card, PayPal.

PAYMENT METHODS

• We accept payments by VISA, Master Card and credit cards, debit cards, PayPal and bank deposits.

ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

• GPS navigation – 5 euros per day, GPS navigation 50,00 maximum rental price
• Loss of the key – fine 150 €.
• After-hours delivery: (23:00 – 07:00) are subject to a 15.00 € charge.
• Fines issued by law enforcement agencies are paid by the renter of the car.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• In case of cancellation of a reservation made 5 days before the rental date, no cancellation fee will be charged and the deposit will be refunded in full. In case of cancellation less than 5 days before the rental date, the prepayment or payment for the car rental is NOT REFUNDABLE!
• Exceptions: For unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters or government bans), no cancellation fee will be charged if agreed with our office.
• Due to the current situation in the world with Covid-19, if the lease is canceled at Status MLB, the amount of your prepayment will be refunded in full, if our office is informed 24 hours before the car rental date.
